Halloween

The Night He Came Home

Perhaps the most influential and successful independent film ever made, Halloween is the movie that put director John Carpenter on the map as a viable filmmaker. An exercise in simple, pure horror, Halloween takes us into the world of a mad killer, Michael Myers (Tony Moran), who at a very young age stabbed his older sister to death. Locked away for many years in a mental hospital Michael escapes one night and returns to his home to continue his killing spree. Jamie Lee Curtis, in her first role, plays the resourceful babysitter who is chased by the killer on Halloween night. Produced for very little money and a tight shooting schedule, Halloween was a stunning success when it was released. Written by John Carpenter and his longtime producer Debra Hill, the film set both their careers on fire, with both of them working together many times over the next 25 years. The film also made a star out of Jamie Lee Curtis and turned the slasher movie into a viable, successful genre.

Halloween has been copied, parodied and even turned into a franchise of its own, but the original is still considered the best of the bunch. Halloween was John Carpenter's first foray into horror, and remains the standard to which all other modern horror films are measured.

Donald Pleasence, Nancy Kyes, P.J. Soles, Charles Cyphers, Kyle Richards, Brian Andrews, John Michael Graham, Nancy Stephens, Arthur Malet.

This is a really good movie for its time and is definitely a must see for anyone who loves horror movies! I thought it was great movie that keeps you at the edge of your seat. A really good watch !

The ghostly serial killer returns once again from beyond the grave this time to haunt a Los Angeles art gallery owner named Caroline McKeever (Donna D'Errico), a distant relative of the Candyman (Tony Todd), in order for him to claim her soul so she will be next to him while in the meantime, the Candyman goes about killing all those associated with Caroline in the usual gory ways with his hook and making it appear to the authorities that Caroline is the one responsible for the killings.

Alexia Robinson, Jsu Carcia, Mark Adair-Rios, Lupe Ontiveros, Elizabeth Guber, Rena Riffel, Ernie Hudson Jr, Wade Williams, Mike Moroff.

A great movie with blood and gore. That will keep you at the edge of your seat all the way through. Its great to watch the story of the Candyman's comes to light in this third and final movie. Great for a night night in and hiding behind the cushions on the sofa.

Candyman 2: Farewell to the Flesh

His myth has endured for generations. His legacy is eternal rage. And now he's back… with a vengeance! Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh continues the tale of the phantom-like figure who wreaks a terrible fate upon those who chant his name five times while looking into a mirror and come face to face with grisly death.

A victim of unspeakable evil while he lived, the "Candyman" (Tony Todd, The Crow) has become evil incarnate in his afterlife. This time, he haunts the city of New Orleans, where a young schoolteacher named Annie Tarrant (Kelly Rowan, 187) is struggling to solve the brutal murder of her father. The locals insist that he was slain by the Candyman, but Annie is not convinced… until she unwittingly summons the monster forth, learns the secret of his power, and discovers the link that connects her to him. But can she stop him before he kills again?

William O'Leary, Bill Nunn, Matt Clark, David Gianophoulas, Fay Hauser, Joshua Gibran Mayweather, Timothy Carhart, Veronica Cartwirght.

Candyman 2 - Farewell To The Flesh is a great sequel to the first one, there is much more blood and gore. A great performance from Tony Todd as Candyman, and the setting is good. The movie wasn't as good as the first but still a good movie. If you've seen the first then I would receommed you watch this one!!!Reblog this post [with Zemanta]

Candyman

A children's ghost story comes to terrifying life in this gut-wrenching thriller about a graduate student whose research into modern folklore summons the spirit of the dead. Helen Lyle (Virginia Madsen) laughs when she interviews college freshmen about their superstitions. But when she hears about Candyman (Tony Todd), a slave spirit with a hook hand who is said to haunt Chicago's notorious Cabrini-Green housing project, she thinks she has a new twist for her thesis.

Braving the gang-ridden territory to visit the site of a brutal murder, Helen arrogantly assumes Candyman can't really exist... until he appears, igniting a string of terrifying, tragic slayings. But the police don't believe in monsters, and they charge Helen with the grisly crimes. And only one person can set her free .....Candyman.

Xander Berkeley, Kasi Lemmons, Vanessa Williams, DeJuan Guy, Marianna Elliott, Ted Raimi, Ria Pavia, Mark Daniels, Lisa Ann Poggi, Adam Philipson.

I first watched this movie a good few years ago now and thought it was really good, keeps you at the edge of your seat, if you like a good horror then I would recommend this movie.
