A Nightmare on Elm Street 7 Wes Craven's New Nightmare

(18)

In the town where movies go over schedule and directors go over budget, something far more evil is about to go out of control!

In a frightening new twist in the terror on Elm street, Wes Craven (director of the original film) finds that his dreams have begun to dictate real-life horrors for the stars of the film!

The Freddy movie are just excellent! The entire collection was just brill. Personally I've not found many horror movie to send a chill up my spine but the Elm Street. For all those horror movie lovers, I would highly recommend you watch this movie!!!

A Nightmare on Elm Street 6 Freddys Dead- The Final Nightmare

(18)

They tried to burn him. They tried to bury him. They tried to wash him away with holy water. But, like Freddy says, "Sticks and stones may break my bones - but you can never kill me". There's just one problem; he's run out of kids to spook in Springwood! So Freddy hitches a ride inside some poor soul's dream to the nearest town and hey, quicker than you can say "Nine, ten, never sleep again", the dreamstalker's back in business...

But enough is enough. Do or die: it's time someone made Freddy hang up his hat for good.

This movie was made for the real fans of Freddy Kruger. If you thought you knew all about him you were wrong unless you've seen this. A few special effects with a thrilling story line but it will teach you about the mind of Freddy.

Robert Englund is such a great actor and as freddy he is so scary!!!!

A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 The Dream Child

(15)

Freddy Krueger returns to deliver a whole new breed of terror in this most fiendishly perverse frightfest yet!

Unable to overpower the Dream Master who vanquished him in A Nightmare On Elm Street 4, Freddy haunts the innocent dreams of her unborn child and preys upon her friends with sheer horror. Will the child be saved from becoming Freddy’s newest weapon or will the maniac again resurrect his legacy of evil?

I am a huge fan of the Elm Street series and this will have to be one of my favourites as it goes back to the darker tone that was the first one and the third one. Anyone who hasn't seen this one, defiantly see it. Make sure you watch number 4 first or you wont understand part 5!!!

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 The Dream Master

(15)

Proving there’s no rest for the wicked, the unspeakably evil Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) is again resurrected from the grave to wreak havoc upon those who dare to dream. But this time, he faces a powerful new adversary!

As her friends succumb one by one to Freddy’s wrath, telepathically gifted Kristen embarks on a desperate mission to destroy the satanic dream stalker and release the tortured souls of his victims once and for all.

Directed by Renny Harlin and loaded with killer effects and drop-dead humor, this is a “superior horror picture that balances wit and gore with imagination and intelligence.” - LA Times.

Wow, I was very impressed with this entry into the series. I thought it might be tame in the gore department considering it only rated 15 (the previous three movies were all rated 18) but it's actually just as gorey as the first three movies - if not more so. I think that this is the scariest of the four movies that I've seen. There are a few funny parts in the movie as it is partly a black comedy but it still manages to be suspenseful and scary.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors

(18)

If You Think You'll Get Out Alive, You're Dreaming.

Born the bastard son of a hundred maniacs, demented killer Freddy Krueger is back for fresh victims in this hallucinatory shocker co-written by original creator Wes Craven (Scream 1, 2 and 3).

The last of the Elm Street kids are now at a psychiatric ward where Freddy haunts their dreams with unspeakable horrors. Their only hope is dream researcher and fellow survivor Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp of the original Nightmare), who helps them battle the supernatural psycho on his own hellish turf.

Starring Patricia Arquette (Bringing Out The Dead, Stigmata) and Academy Award-nominee Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, Hoodlum), "Dream Warriors is both a horrific and hysterical trip!" (L.A. Herald-Examiner).

A brilliant sequel, probably my favourite so far. The idea of setting this movie in a mental hospital (where teenagers who are having nightmares about Freddy (Robert Englund) trying to kill them have been sent) was a very cleaver idea and it worked really well. Very good and suspenseful and you really care about the charactors.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 Freddy's Revenge

(18)

Five years have passed since Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) was sent howling back to hell. But now, a new kid on Elm Street is being haunted every night by gruesome visions of the deadly dream stalker. And if his twisted soul takes possession of the boy’s body, Freddy will return from the dead to wreak bloody murder and mayhem upon the entire town.

When A Nightmare On Elm Street made a killing, horror fans shrieked for more. Soon the diabolical Freddy was resurrected with a vengeance – along with some of the most terrifying special effects ever to spatter the screen. Look for Robert Englund (minus his Freddy face) in the opening sequence. He’s a real scream.

I like this movie very much. A very good movie, if you ask me. The metamorphose from Jesse into Freddy is brilliant, too and of course the massacre at the teenage pool party even better!!!

A Nightmare on Elm Street

(18)

From modern horror master Wes Craven comes a timeless shocker that remains the standard bearer for terror.

Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) is having grisly nightmares. Meanwhile, her high-school friends, who are having the very same dreams, are being slaughtered in their sleep by the hideous fiend of their shared nightmares. When the police ignore her explanation, she herself must confront the killer in his shadowy realm.

Featuring John Saxon with Johnny Depp in his first starring role and mind-bending special effects, this horror classic gave birth to one of the most infamous undead villains in cinematic history: Freddy Krueger...

Three Four better lock your door....... And you should. The first time I saw this movie I was sucked in to Freddy's nightmare and have gone on to enjoy the other Freddy movie. There is no other horror out there that can match a plot like this, killing people in there dreams pure genius. I am a big Freddy Krueger fan!!!

The Bone Collector

(15)

He takes his victims' lives and leaves behind mysterious pieces of a bizarre puzzle. And the only person who may be able to make sense of the serial killer's deranged plan is Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington), a one-time top homicide investigator. After a tragic accident changes his life forever, Rhyme can only watch as other cops bungle the case...until he teams up with a young rookie, Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie), who bravely becomes his eyes and ears and searches out the clues that help them solve the case.

But as the killer senses the cops closing in, Rhyme realizes that he and his partner are on the trail of a vicious, sadistic murderer who will stop at nothing on his deadly mission. At any moment Rhyme and Amelia could become his next targets - and their first case could become their last.

Really enjoyed this one. Good cast with Denzel Washington, and a fresh faced (luscious lipped) Angelina Jolie. Great story surrounding a serial killer, rein acting a book of the same title, with ritualised killings across New York.

Bulletproof monk

(12)

'Bulletproof Monk' begins in the 1940s, as a Tibetan Buddhist monk, charged with protecting an ancient scroll, passes on his legacy to his pupil. As the student receives the power to safeguard the scroll, his aging process is halted and he gives up his name, only to be known as the Monk (Chow Yun-Fat). Suddenly, the monastery is raided by Nazis, led by the ruthless Strucker (Karl Roden). As they attempt to seize the relic, the Monk is shot and falls off a cliff, taking the scroll with him...

However, six decades later, the Monk appears in America and crosses paths with Kar (Seann William Scott), a tough city kid with a talent for picking pockets. Together the unlikely duo must contend with the forces of the now-elderly Strucker, still determined to possess the mystical scroll. As Strucker's granddaughter, Nina (Victoria Smurfit), leads his thugs to track down Kar and the Monk, the two heroes receive help from the mysterious Jade (Jamie King)...

After seeing the trailer for this movie I was expecting a lot, but the movie itself wasn't even close. There were a few good scenes and some of the action was good, but generally it could have been a lot better.

The Brave One

(18)

New York radio host Erica Bain (Jodie Foster) has a life that she loves and a fiance she adores. All of it is taken from her when a brutal attack leaves Erica badly wounded and her fiance dead. Unable to move past the tragedy, Erica begins prowling the city streets at night to track down the men she holds responsible. Her dark pursuit of justice catches the public's attention, and the city is riveted by her anonymous exploits. But with the NYPD desperate to find the culprit and a dogged police detective (Terrence Howard) hot on her trail, she must decide whether her quest for revenge is truly the right path, or if she is becoming the very thing she is trying to stop.

I love Foster's movies (Contact, Panic Room, Nim's Island). It's another really great movie with her and the cast. Worth a night in to see.

Bourne Ultimatum

(12)

All he wanted was to disappear. Instead, Jason Bourne is now hunted by the people who made him what he is. Having lost his memory and the one person he loved, he is undeterred by the barrage of bullets and a new generation of highly trained killers. Bourne has only one objective: to go back to the beginning and find out who he was.

Now, in the new chapter of this espionage series, Bourne will hunt down his past in order to find a future. He must travel from Moscow, Paris, Madrid and London to Tangier and New York City as he continues his quest to find the real Jason Bourne - all the while trying to outmaneuver the scores of cops, federal officers and Interpol agents with him in their crosshairs.

What a fantastic movie but you really need to have seen the previous 2 to fully understand & appreciate the plot. Jason Bourne is searching for his identity and surviving many attempts on his life, because he holds the key to a number of high ranking individuals positions. This movie is the best in the trilogy, even though the other 2 are fantastic, as it answers all the questions with relentless pace and action. It is the must see movie of 2007 and completely wraps up the plot of the whole Bourne saga.

Bourne Supremacy

(12)

The Bourne Supremacy re-enters the shadowy world of expert assassin Jason Bourne (Damon), who continues to find himself plagued by the splintered nightmares from his former life. The stakes are now even higher for the agent as he coolly maneuvers through the dangerous waters of international espionage - replete with CIA plots, turncoat agents and constantly shifting covert alliances - all the while hoping to find the truth behind his haunted memories and answers to his own fragmented past...

Great movie, great plot, great sequel. This sequel to the Bourne Identity is nothing short of superb! I really enjoyed the first movie and for me this was better.

Bourne Identity

(12)

A man who may or may not be Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is found floating in the Mediterranean Sea and is hauled onto a fishing boat. When the ship's doctor examines the unconscious castaway, he discovers two bullet wounds and an implanted device that displays a Swiss bank account number. With nothing but this code, the amnesiac Bourne travels to Zurich and gains access to a safe-deposit box containing a gun, thousands of dollars in various currencies, and valid passports from numerous countries - each listing a different identity. Within minutes, Bourne is on the run from a seemingly ever-present agency, relying on language and fighting skills he didn't even know he possessed!

Offering $20,000 for a ride to Paris, Bourne gains the reluctant help of the nomadic Marie (Franka Potente). Meanwhile, the shadowy organization, headed by a tough-talking bureaucrat (Chris Cooper), sends numerous assassins (including the Professor, played by Clive Owen) after Bourne and Marie. As their situation grows more perilous, the two strangers struggle to find out who Bourne really is and why they are being hunted...

This is an all action, fast-paced, thriller that has a superb storyline with twists and turns. Some great stunts that enhance the movie along with superb acting make this movie great entertainment. Recommended to all.

Apocalyto

(18)

Mel Gibson (BRAVEHEART, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST) tackles the downfall of Mayan civilization in his latest turn as writer/director. Jaguar Paw (Rudy Youngblood) and his fellow villagers lead a peaceful life in the forest until a savage, unprovoked attack turns their world upside down. After hiding his pregnant wife and young son from the invaders, Jaguar Paw joins in the fight, only to be taken prisoner with the rest of the survivors. Uncertain of what the future holds and taken from his home to a thriving metropolis that might as well be a foreign country, Jaguar Paw has just one goal--to return to his wife and child. Jaguar Paw’s journey is a coming-of-age saga running the gamut of love, loss, courage, and redemption.

Filmed in Mexico with a cast of indigenous Americans speaking in the Yucatec dialect, this is a tale filled with contrasts. Muted greens and browns define the forest village while the city is awash in bright colours. The wealthy live in opulence, sporting elaborate jewellery, clothing, and hairdos while the villagers wear twig and bone ornaments. The villagers respect both life and nature, but the rulers of the great stone city condone violence in an effort to appease their gods. Gibson’s point is clear: the more "advanced" society is corrupt and unrepentant, while the more primitive Mayans have far greater faith and humanity. Gibson also drives home the recurring theme of rebirth with symbolism, including rain, pregnancy, and the arrival of Christianity. Beautifully filmed by Dean Semler and scored by James Horner, APOCALYPTO could benefit from some framing at its beginning to give the viewer a sense of time and place, but otherwise offers a rare glimpse into a lost world.

A brilliant movie, plenty of action, violence and a story that is classic in its telling. Wonderful use of settings and actors combine for a feast of visual treats and wondrous ideas. This movie can be read on many levels and its message is as relevant today as it ever was... and as harsh. A really good movie well worth a watch if you haven't yet seen it!!!

Babylon A.D.

(12)

In sci-fi thriller BABYLON A.D., Vin Diesel's Toorop is an antihero who quotes the best of cinema's bad boys from films such as THE GODFATHER and SCARFACE. But all the tattooed muscleman really wants to do is leave poverty- and violence-ridden Russia and return to his family's home in upstate New York. However, he has been banned from his native America, so when a Russian mobster (a prosthetic-enhanced Gérard Depardieu) offers him a job and a forged passport that will take him back home, he agrees, even though the mission seems close to suicide. He takes a strangely gifted orphan named Aurora (Melanie Thierry) from a Mongolian convent to Harlem, his only help being a nun--though it is a nun played by action star Michelle Yeoh. Thugs attack them on every leg of their journey, following them as they take car, train, sub, and snowmobile to ensure Aurora's safety.

BABYLON A.D works best when it's revealing facets of its futuristic world, from the refugee-camp look of Russia to the high-tech gloss of a 22-million-people-strong New York City. Production designers Sonja Klaus and Paul Cross, as well as director Mathieu Kassovitz (GOTHIKA), deserve praise for creating settings that evoke memories of dystopian films from BLADE RUNNER to CHILDREN OF MEN. Kassovitz, who is most familiar to audiences as the object of affection in AMELIE, also adapted the script from the Maurice G. Dantec novel BABYLON BABIES with Eric Besnard. In small roles, Depardieu and French favourite Charlotte Rampling (who plays a mysterious religious leader) provide substance and gravitas.

Good movie, good story, good acting. Wasn't brilliant or amazing but it was enjoyable in my opinion. Overall though an enjoyable action sort of movie.

The Blair Witch Project

(15)

Now prepare for a motion picture experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen, heard or feared before. The Blair Witch Project follows a trio of filmmakers on what should have been a simple walk in the woods, but quickly becomes an excursion into heart-stopping terror. As the three become inexplicably lost, morale deteriorates, hunger sets in, accusations fly. By night, unseen evil stirs beyond their campfire’s light. By day, chilling ritualistic figures are discovered nearby. As the end of their journey approaches, they realise that what they are filming now is not a legend, but their own descent into unimaginable horror.

I liked it, the movie requires you to actually become involved with it. The movie is a little scary because of how realistic it is and how no-one knows what is happening to them in the movie. A great movie!

Bless the Child

(15)

Academy Award Winner Kim Basinger stars as Maggie O’Connor, a single woman whose life revolves around her career as a nurse - until the surprise appearance of her sister Jenna (Angela Bettis) and Jenna’s newborn baby girl, Cody. When Jenna suddenly disappears, Maggie is left to raise Cody (Holliston Coleman), an autistic child, by herself. But after Jenna returns with a mysterious cult leader (Rufus Sewell) and abducts Cody, Maggie discovers that the child possesses extraordinary powers: powers that forces of evil have waited centuries to control. Together with a FBI specialist in occult-related crimes (Jimmy Smits), Maggie races to save the life of the innocent girl who may hold the keys to save mankind or destroy it...

We all really enjoyed this movie, after wondering if we would be somewhat disappointed in it. Good story, good acting and a nice "light" DVD to watch if you don't want anything that you have to concentrate on too hard (which is nice when you just want to curl up and relax with a movie). Kim Bassinger portrayed her character excellently there is just the right amount of suspense to keep it going.

Blade Trinity

(18)

This is BLADE: TRINITY, the third installment of the film series adapted from Marvel comics. Here, a new challenge faces the preternaturally sharp hunter, Blade (Wesley Snipes), when a group of vamps resurrect the long-slumbering "Drake" (Dominic Purcell)--the ancient and all-powerful Count Dracula--and Blade meets the ultimate opponent. Teaming up with the Nightstalkers, a group of similar-minded hunters led by tough slayer-hottie Abigail (Jessica Biel) and her joke-a-minute partner Hannibal (Ryan Reynolds), Blade is ready for battle. However, Drake's handlers are an unruly bunch themselves, with sassy goth wench Danica (Parker Posey in a wonderfully exaggerated performance) doing her best to make things as unpleasant as possible. What's more, while Danica's vamp team is harvesting homeless people for their blood, the Nightstalkers' scientist creates a potion that can not only kill Drake but can take the entire bloodsucking race with him. And thus, David S. Goyer continues the BLADE cinema series, satisfying fans with plenty of the nocturnal monster mystique they so desperately crave.

I thought this movie was quite good and entertaining. For me, it was better than Blade II, I liked the plot, and by that end, I presume we're gonna see Blade IV or a Nightstalkers movie somewhere in future

Blade 2

(18)

The blood coursing through Blade's veins is half-human, half-vampire, the result of a vampire attack on his mother before he was born. Blade has been working with Scud, a brilliant slacker and inventor of devious weapons, to destroy any vampires that cross their paths. The hunt for vampires takes them to the lair of Blade's sworn enemy - Vampire overlord Damaskinos, who now needs Blade to deal with a far more deadly threat than either has ever faced before. Nyssa Damaskinos's strong and darkly exotic daughter, and her co-warrior, Asad come to meet Blade to formalise a truce. They will have to work together to stop the Reapers, a Super race of vampires. A mutated form of their vampire predecessors, the Reapers are infiltrating humanity and vampires alike with the reaper strain that will leave thousands of carriers roaming the streets in just a short time. The infected trail leads back to Patient Zero, Jared Nomak and Blade must destroy him before he and the Reapers destroy the human race.

Blade was good - perfect action and enough blood for a vampire movie.
Blade 2 though doesn't - there is very little blood and the action is not as impressive, bar the opening fight. This movie was fairly entertaining.

Blade

(18)

A blood chilling, action-packed thriller about modern day vampires unlike any previously encountered. Wesley Snipes is Blade, the ultimate vampire hunter, and immortal warrior who possesses the superhuman strength and cunning of a vampire but shares none of their weakness.

Able to walk by day and stalk by night, Blade must confront his ultimate adversary, the omnipotent vampire overlord Deacon Frost, Stephen Dorff, who is intent on leading an underground legion of vampires to conquer mankind. Blade must use his awesome powers and razor-sharp weaponry like never before to prevent the annihilation of the entire human race.

What can I say, this movie is a blast! Action, Horror and a little Comedy in there as well, what more can you ask from a good movie.

Lord of the Rings – The Return of the King

(12)

The remnants of the Fellowship marshal their forces as Hobbits Sam (Astin) and Frodo (Wood) are led by Gollum to Mount Doom in the hope of destroying the One Ring forever...

Peter Jackson's epic fantasy adventure, the closing part of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, was the winner of a record-equaling 11 Oscars at the 2004 Academy Awards.

That is probably the only word to describe this movie. The graphics, together with the acting and sheer intensity of the situation makes it one awe-inspiring sight to remember.

Lord of the Rings – The Two Towers

(12)

The Two Towers continues to follow the fortunes of the members of the now divided fellowship, with Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John-Rhys Davies) helping to restore some order to the land of King Theodon (Bernard Hill), whose mind has been poisoned by the machinations of Grima Wormtongue (Brad Dourif). Wormtongue is a secret emissary of wizard Saruman (Christopher Lee), now ready to unleash his army of the night on Middle-Earth.

Meanwhile, Frodo (Elijah Wood) is falling deeper under the dreaded influence of The Ring, as he journeys with Sam (Sean Astin) towards Mordor, and fellow Hobbits Merry and Pippin encounter the Ent Treebeard, an ancient tree-shepherd. With the addition of the extraordinary Gollum (Andy Serkis), the return of Gandalf, and a steady build up to the brilliantly staged rain-soaked night time battle of Helm's Deep, Peter Jackson's The Two Towers is every bit as exciting and wondrous as The Fellowship of the Ring.

The Two Towers is a fantastic epic, going farther than its predecessor "The Fellowship of the Ring" in much the same way as James Cameron's "Aliens" went beyond Ridley Scott's "Alien": in both cases, the continuations have more action, more baddies, more terror, but without detracting from the pleasures of the first movies in the series.

The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring

(PG)

THE BOOK of the Twentieth Century is about to become the DVD event of the Twenty-first.

In a time before history, in a place called Middle-earth, a dark and powerful lord has brought together the forces of evil to destroy its cultures and enslave all life caught in his path. Sauron's time has come and he needs only one small object - a Ring that has been lost for centuries - to snuff out the light of civilization and cover the world in darkness.

An epic adventure of good against evil, a story of the power of friendship and individual courage, and the heroic quest to pave the way for the emergence of mankind, J.R.R. Tolkien's master work The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

This movie truly is a work of art, the locations are stunning, the effects are good, the imagery is sheer eye-candy.

X Men The Movie 3 The Last Stand

(12)

Take a stand...

When a pharmaceutical company publicises a 'cure' to suppress mutations, lines are drawn amongst the X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier (Stewart), and the Brotherhood, a band of powerful mutants organized under Xavier's former ally, Magneto (McKellen)...

The third film in the big-screen X-Men film franchise, which plays host to the addition of fan-favourite characters (including Beast, Juggernaut and Angel), further explorers the mutant human divide and also provides a glimpse into the fate of Jean Grey reborn as Phoenix...

This movie was good, but not as good as the first two, as i believe the 2nd film is the best. Still good to watch and worth seeing.

X Men The Movie 2 - X Men United

(12)

The time has come for those who are different to stand united...

The X-Men have to band together to find a mutant assassin who has made an attempt on the President's life, while the Mutant Academy at Westchester is attacked by military forces prompting some uncomfortable home truths for Wolverine...

Excellent movie that has first class action and effects but it also a very character driven flick so it has a bit more substance than other comic book flicks

X Men The Movie

(12)

Born into a world filled with prejudice are children who possess extraordinary and dangerous powers - the result of unique genetic mutations. Cyclops unleashes bolts of energy from his eyes. Storm can manipulate the weather at will. Rogue absorbs the life force of anyone she touches. But, under the tutelage of Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), these and other outcasts learn to harness their powers for the good of mankind. Now they must protect those who fear them as the nefarious Magneto (Ian McKellen), who believes humans and mutants can never co-exist, unveils his sinister plan for the future...

X-men is very enjoyable movie. Great care has gone into presenting the comic book world in way that is almost realistic. Though the movie lacks any truly great action sequences the movie more than makes up for it with brilliant characterisation. Hugh Jackmans portrayal of Wolverine is especially good.

Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer

(PG)

Marvel's first family of superheroes, The Fantastic Four, meets their greatest challenge yet in Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer as the enigmatic, intergalactic herald, The Silver Surfer, comes to Earth to prepare it for destruction. As the Silver Surfer races around the globe wreaking havoc, Reed (Ioan Gruffud), Sue (Jessica Alba), Johnny (Chris Evans) and Ben (Michael Chiklis)must unravel the mystery of the Silver Surfer (Laurence Fishburne) and confront the surprising return of their mortal enemy, Dr. Doom (Julian McMahon), before all hope is lost.

A really great movie, fantastic 4 all the family. A really must see for all those comic book movie fans!!!

Fantastic 4

(PG)

The lifelong dream of inventor, astronaut and scientist Dr. Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) is close to being realized. He is spearheading a trip to outer space, to the center of a cosmic storm. There he hopes to unlock the secrets of the human genetic codes for the benefit of all humanity. Extensive government grant cutbacks nearly dashed the visionary's hopes of the historic flight, until Reed accepted a financing deal with his old college rival, Victor Von Doom (Julian McMahon), now a billionaire industrialist.

Reed's crew for the mission includes his best friend, astronaut Ben Grimm (Michael Chiklis); Sue Storm (Jessica Alba), Von Doom's director of genetic research and Reed's ex-girlfriend; and Sue's hot-headed younger brother, pilot Johnny Storm (Chris Evans). With benefactor Von Doom in tow, the four set off for the exploration of a lifetime.

The mission is uneventful - until Reed discovers a miscalculation of the speed of the approaching storm. Within minutes, the event threshold is upon them. The space station is engulfed by turbulent clouds of cosmic radiation which genetically transforms the crew. Their DNA is irrevocably altered - and so is their future.

Back on earth, the effects of the exposure are quickly revealed. Reed gains the ability to stretch and contort his body into any shape he can imagine and, as leader of the group, is given the name Mr. Fantastic; Sue is able to render herself invisible and to create and project powerful force fields as Invisible Woman; Johnny becomes known as The Human Torch, as he can now engulf his body in flames and take flight at will; and Ben, whose freakish transmutation is the most shocking, becomes an orange-colored, rock-like, superhumanly strong creature, The Thing.

Together, they turn tragedy into triumph and catastrophe into coalition, using their unique and formidable powers to thwart the evil plans of their now steely-eyed, iron-fisted nemesis Dr. Doom...

There are great special effects, superb acting and a solid story line. But this is not one of your average run of the mill super hero stories, it is also about the effects of being super on the heroes themselves. Having to cope with the publicity, and the fact that they are actual heroes. It is funny, romantic, and action packed. Plus its suitable for all ages!

Batman The Dark Knight

(12)

I haven't seen this latest movie yet, but will update the review once I have seen it!!!

Batman & Robin

(PG)

Chills and thrills: will Gotham City be put on ice? George Clooney is Batman as the dark knight battles his greatest threat yet: Cold-hearted Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and venomous Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman). New very special effects include a wild sky-surfing sequence and Freeze's outrageous ice-blasting arsenal. Robin (Chris O'Dennell), Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone) It's state-of-the-art excitement from our Batfamily to yours!

This movie has a good story line, which is never tiresome. A dramatic movie, which is sometimes too scary in parts, for smaller children.
