Australia is the new film from director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo And Juliet) and stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.
Australia centers on an English aristocrat, Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman), who inherits a ranch the size of Maryland. When English cattle barons plot to take her land, she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle driver (Jackman) to drive 2000 head of cattle across hundreds of miles of the country's most unforgiving land, only to still face the bombing of Darwin, Australia by the Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl Harbor only months earlier.
I enjoyed this movie immensely it was well worth the wait the scenery was wonderful and the acting superb. A touch too long I thought but then I did not mind as it was such a good story line.
