Jordon Hinson, Erica Cerra, Neil Grayston, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Joe Morton, Chris Gauthier, Ed Quinn.

Seen the first season of A Town Called Eureka, but didn't see the rest. I really enjoyed watching this but don't no why I stop. Will have to catch up!!! But all in all a great series.

Lost in Space

(PG)

In the year 1997, Earth is suffering from massive overpopulation. Professor John Robinson(Guy Williams) , his wife Maureen (June Lockhart), their children (Judy (Marta Kristen), Penny (Angela Cartwright) and Will (Bill Mumy) and Major Don West (Mark Goddard) are selected to go to the third planet in the Alpha Centauri star system to establish a colony so that other Earth people can settle there. They are to go there on a ship of Professor Robinson's design, christened the Jupiter 2. However, Doctor Zachary Smith (Jonathan Harris), an agent for an enemy government, is sent to sabotage the mission. He is successful in reprogramming the ship's robot, but in the process becomes trapped on the ship, and because of his excess weight, the ship and all on board become hopelessly lost and it now becomes a fight for survival as the crew tries to find their way back home.

Bob May, Dick Tufeld.

This programme was fantastic I watched the reruns in the late 70's, it was really good and what's more still is! Doctor Smith's interactions with the long-suffering robot are, of course, the integral part of most of the 'plots'. It's have loads of laughs in it! The whole thing is superb, I would recommend you watch this series as you wont be disappointed!!!!

V The Final Battle

(15)

Who will claim the V for victory?

Is there life out there? Finally we know. Because they are here. Alien spacecraft with humanlike passengers have come to Earth. They say they come in peace for food and water. The water they find in our reservoirs. The food they find walking about everywhere on two legs.

That saga that began with V now culminates in a struggle to save the world in V: The Final Battle. Sci-fi film stalwarts Marc Singer, Robert Englund and Michael Ironside head a large cast in this tense adventure that leaps from the stunning revelation of reptilian beings concealed by human masks to the birth of the first human/spaceling child to the harrowing countdown to nuclear doomsday. The future begins or ends here.

Jane Badler, Michael Durrell, Faye Grant, Richard Herd, Thomas Hill, Peter Nelson, David Packer, Eric Johnston, Blair Tefkin, Denise Galik.

I loved V when it was first shown on t.v. in 1984 and I decided to buy the DVD, it brought back some memories. While it is not particularly great in the special effects department, it still provides a great viewing suitable for most of the family to watch.

V The Mini Series

(12)

They Come In Peace - To Enslave Humankind!

Fifty spaceships, each three miles across, hover ominously above Earth's major cities. The Visitors that emerge are human like in appearance and extend the hand of friendship. Our planet's resources are just what these aliens need to survive. And for its future survival, unsuspecting humankind will need... a miracle!

Kenneth Johnson's science-fiction spectacular V mixes dynamic special effects with cliffhanger thrills. As fascist rule enslaves the globe, freedom fighters battle to save our species. Marc Singer heads an epic-sized cast of human defenders and - behind sleek uniforms and benevolent behavior - reptilian invaders. For unparalleled extraterrestrial excitement, the invaders of V are unstoppable.

Jane Badler, Michael Durrell, Faye Grant, Peter Nelson, David Packer, Neva Patterson, Tommy Petersen, Blair Tefkin, Robert Englund, Joanna Kerns, Eric Johnston.

Just Brilliant!

This series relies on a strong plot and innovate character development to maintain interest with the special effects in the background. The effects are a bit dated - but the clever adaption of the aliens coming to earth has not. Since the effects are not relied on to sell the series, you allow them to be outdated and don't let them distract you from your enjoyment. The constant depiction of the visitors makes them totally convincing and makes such an invasion of earth totally chilling.

Time Tunnel

Scientists Tony Newman (James Darren)and Doug Phillips (Robert Colbert) are the young heads of Project Tic-Toc, a multi-billion dollar government installation buried beneath the desert. They have invented a Time Tunnel, which will allow people to visit anywhere in time and space. While testing the tunnel for an impatient senator, Newman and Phillips became trapped in time, and each week coincidentally found themselves at the site of an important historical event, be it the Siege of Troy, the sinking of the Titanic or an assassination attempt on President Lincoln. Sometimes they traveled into the future, and battled alien invaders. Ann MacGregor (Lee Meriwether), Gen (Whit Bissell). Kirk and Dr. Swain (John Zaremba) are the scientists trying to fix the malfunctioning Time Tunnel and bring Doug and Tony back to the present (1968).

The special effects, mostly in the Time Tunnel complex itself, are impressive when one considers the time of the show's production. Never missed an episode of this series, its a shame they only did one series.

A Great SciFi series!!!!

Star Trek Deep Space 9

(15)

The stable wormhole discovered by the Deep Space Nine crew is known to the Bajoran people as the Celestial Temple of their Prophets. Sisko, as discoverer of the wormhole and its inhabitants, is therefore the Emissary of Bajoran prophesy. The wormhole's other end is in the Gamma Quadrant, halfway around the galaxy from Bajor. That section of space is dominated by the malevolent Dominion. The Dominion is led by the Changelings, the race of shapeshifters to which Odo belongs. As of the beginning of the sixth season, Cardassia has joined the Dominion, and together they are waging war on the Federation and their Klingon allies. The war is quickly becoming the most costly war ever for the Federation, and the Deep Space Nine crew must fight to protect their way of life.

Avery Brooks, Rene Auberjonois, Cirroc Lofton, Alexander Siddig, Armin Shimermam, Mark Allen Shepherd.

Not a big fan of Deep Space 9, as its not as good as the other Star Trek series. But still watchable. I haven't seen all this series.

Star Trek Voyager

(12)

In the 24th Century the Federation star ship USS Voyager has just been released for take-off and for a Deep-Space mission to the Badlands. The Badlands is the hideout for the so called traitors to the Federation. They call themselves the Marquis. The Marquis are mostly ex-Federation and some freelancers. Anyone who pays there barging is there leader. Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) is the chosen captain for this mission because of her training and experience. She requests to speak a prisoner and former Marquis helmsman called Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeill). (Tomas Eugene Paris) Because of Mr. Paris his experience and knowledge of the Badlands, he is the perfect advisor to go on the Deep-Space mission. Mr. Paris is also the Son of the Commander-Admiral Paris (Richard Herd). Head of Starfleet. Setting off for the Badlands, they find no Marquis ship what so ever. Not even a trace. Some while later, they get swept away off there 'feet' and are carried to the Delta Quadrant - 75,00 light-years from home. There they find a stating which belongs to the Caretaker (Basil Langton) who lately takes care of an entire race called the Ocampa. A friendly-suspicious person called Nelix is hailing them and warning them to stay away from his junk. She makes a deal with Nelix (Ethan Philips) and he can come on board. If it isn't for Nelix, they couldn't save the abducted Marquis and Starfleet Operations Manager Harry Kim (Garret Wang) from the Ocampa world. This world is threatened by a race called the Kazon. Through the Caretaker, they meet the Marquis and decide to become allies because the situation doesn't look promising. They eventually will get at war with the Kazon since they want to have the - already dieing - Cartaker's station and destroy the Ocampa. Captain Chakotay (Robert Beltran) rescues Voyager from destruction by the Kazon and destroys his ship in the process, by colliding it with the Kazon ship. They will form one single crew and rescue the missing B'Lanna Torres (Roxann Dawson) and Harry Kim. Kes, Nelix's girlfriend and Nelix himself will stay on board and serve the captain by becoming part of the crew. Marquis and Starfleet bond together, they set off on a 75 year journey to the Alpha Quadrant, where Earth is. Since some of the crew of Voyager was killed in the progress of going to the Delta Quadrant, the Marquis will take there place. Also the Doctor is killed, which leaves them with activating the EMH. The Emergency Medical Hologram (Robert Picardo). Captain Janeway, Lieutenant Tuvok (Tim Russ), Lieutentant-Chief Enegenier B'Lanna Torres, Helsman Tom Paris, Navigator Harry Kim, Commander Chakotay and the EMH they sail off to a long journey to simply - go home. During the seasons Kes (Jennifer Lien) will leave Voyager and a Borg, Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), will take her place. Seven has much to learn since she was assimilated as a child and lost all of her humanity. This is not only one of the Captains missions. She and her crew will endure much more difficult tasks at hand.

Tarik Ergin, Stephen Pisani, Scarlett Pomers, Martha Hackett, Dwight Schultz.

Great series, my favourite characther is Nelix played by Ethan Philips I thought he was really funny, I still watch all the reruns of all the Star Treks today. As I could never get bored with them!!!

This is one of my favourites of all the Star Trek series, really enjoyable. If your a big scifi fan like me you will love this!!!

Star Trek Enterprise

(PG)

In the early twenty-second century, the starship Enterprise is launched. Her mission is to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations and to boldly go where no humans have gone before. Along with an alien chief medical officer and first officer, this crew with only NASA-level training and what the Vulcans know of local space, begin to explore and begin the legacy set for other Enterprise crews and captains like Robert April (James Doohan), Christopher Pike (Jeffrey Hunter), James Kirk (William Shatner), John Harriman (Alan Tuck), Rachel Garrett (Tricia O'Neil), Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Edward Jellico (Ronny Cox) and others.

Scott Bakula, Jolene Blalock, Dominic Keating, John Billingsley, Anthony Montgomery, Linda Park, Connor Trinneer, Mark Correy.

The show is great and was really hitting its stride in the fourth season, a shame it got canned. It would of been nice for more series, really enjoyed this as I'm a big fan of scifi and Scott Bakula.

The Enterprise is commanded by handsome and brash Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner). His First Officer and best friend is Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) from the planet Vulcan, and Kirk's Medical Officer is Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelley). With its crew of approximately 430, the Enterprise battles aliens, megalomanical computers, time paradoxes, psychotic murderers, and even Genghis Khan!

Nichelle Nichols, James Doohan, Eddie Paskey, Bill Blackburn, George Takei.

This was the very first Star Trek which was really good for its day, still watch it now when it is one TV. It is really good for all those star trek fans out there!!!

Firefly

(12)

Captain Malcom 'Mal' Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) is a former galactic war veteran who is the captain of the transport ship "Serenity", Mal his crew of hired transporters, Mal's ensign Zoe Warren, Zoe's (Gina Torres) husband, pilot Hoban 'Wash' Washburne (Alan Tuduk), muscular former combat soldier Jayne Cobb (Adam Baldwin), young engineer Kaylee Frye (Jewel Staite), former Alliance medical officer Simon Tamm (Sean Maher), his teenage sister River (Summer Glau) (Both on-the-run from the Interplanetary government "The Alliance"), the beautiful "companion" Inara Serra (Morena Baccarin) and religious man Shepard Book (Ron Glass) do legal or illegal jobs (smuggling, protecting, guns-for-hire, robberies) as the Serenity crew travels across the outskirts of Outer Space for food, money, anything to make a living on, as The Serenity crew tries to stay under the radar of The Alliance and pulls dangerous jobs in the Alliance controlled star systems.

Nothing i've watched in this genre, comes anywhere close to Firefly, the movie Serenity was also good if you were a big fan. Even if your not a SciFi fan you gotta just watch this.

Battlestar Galstica New

(15)

The second war against the Cylons is over and The Twelve Colonies have been destroyed. Now Commander Adama (Edward James Olmos) of the Battlestar Galatica and President Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell) lead a ragtag fleet of refugees in a supposed search for the fabled lost thirteenth colony, Earth. However, the dangers they face are many which compound an already difficult situation. In addition to the Cylons hunting and attacking the fleet in space, their infiltrator units carry out a more subtle plot even as their former unwitting pawn, Gaius Baltar (James Callis), helps in the hunt for them while hiding both his own guilt and the strange presence that haunts his every thought. If that wasn't enough, the fleet also faces internal political conflict in which the rabble-rousing figure, Tom Zarek (Richard Hatch the original Apollo), is merely the loudest dissenting voice. In the midst of these trials however, clues begin to appear that suggest that Adama's simple bluff about Earth may be more truthful than anyone could have guessed.

Jamie Bamber, Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Katee Sackhoff, Michael Hogan, Aaron Douglas, Tahmoh Penikett, Alessandro Juliani, Kandyse McClure, Donnelly Rhodes, Nicki Clyne, Bodie Olmos, Michael Trucco, Leah Cairns, Rekha Sharma.

Great series, really disappointed when this finished. Some really good twists and turns, some parts kept you at the edge of your seat.

Battlestar Galatica

(PG)

In a distant galaxy, twelve planets bearing tribes of the race known as Man have been at war with an alien cyborg race, the Cylon empire, for a millenium. In the measurements used by the Twelve Colonies it is the Yahren 7341, and a treaty of peace is to be signed - a treaty that proves to be a ruse for the largest assault in the history of galactic warfare. With their defending warships destroyed and their homeworld annihilated, the Twelve Tribes gather to their one remaining warship, a battlestar named the Galactica, boarding every assorted star vehicle that will carry them, as their leader, Commander Adama (Lorne Greene), seeks out the one planet that will protect Man from the predation of the Cylon Empire - a planet called Earth. As their journey proceeds this Fugitive Fleet is closely pursued by forces of the Cylon Empire under the command of human traitor Baltar (John Colicos).

Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Herb Jefferson Jr, Laurette Spang, Terry Carter, Tony Swartz, Maren Jensen, Noah Hathaway, David Greenan, Patrick Macnee, Anne Lochhart.

This was relised in the 70's, but Battlestar Galactica is still one of the greatest sci-fi shows ever made. It still looks good and other than the hair styles, little has really aged. A great series!!!

Stargate Atlantis

(15)

A new Stargate team embarks on an incredible journey to the lost city of Atlantis. The team must battle to defeat a gruesome, powerful new enemy known as the Wraiths, quickly forge new alliances... and simply survive. Their success will dictate whether they live long enough to gather the resources needed to return home from the intergalactic adventure of a lifetime...

Joe Flanigan, Rachel Luttrell, David Hewlett, Jason Momoa, Torri Higginson, Paul McGillion, David Nykl, Chuck Campbell.

Really a fantastic series, I hope they do more. Some episodes were better that others, some kept you at the edge of your seat. A really great series!!!

Stargate SG-1

(15)

General Hammond (Don S. Davis) summons Colonel Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) out of retirement to embark on a secret rescue mission. O'Neill confesses that he disobeyed orders to destroy the Stargate on Planet Abydos, and that scientist Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) may still be alive. Arriving on Abydos with his team, O'Neill meets up once again with the scientist, who has discovered a giant elaborate cartouche in hieroglyphics. All signs point to the fact that this is a map of many Stargates that exist throughout the galaxy - a development that makes the dream of the SG-1 team to travel throughout the universe in time a reality.

Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Gary Jones.

I'm a big SciFi fan, and I really enjoyed watching these. Each episode is really good. I haven't come across 1 bad one yet. But there are a few slow ones. All in all a really great scifi series!!!

Mork & Mindy

(12)

Mork (Robin Williams) is a bumbling alien from the planet Ork sent to Earth, in his egg, to study it's inhabitants. He will report to his unseen superior, Orson, until reassigned. On Earth, he meets Mindy McConnell (Pam Dawber), an average woman who takes him in and shelters him. On befriending Mork, she signs herself up for some wacky adventures as Mork learns about human life, acting (and looking) very eccentric along the way. In addition to spouting "nanoo, nanoo", Mork had an uncanny ability to impersonate celebrity voices. Eventually, the relationship between Mork and Mindy jumped from a strong friendship to romance, and they married, eventually bearing a son, Mearth from Earth, who aged backwards like his father.

Conrad Janis, Ralph James, Elizabeth Kerr, Robert Donner.

Watching this when you came home from school. I thought Robin Williams was fantastic I was a big fan, and still am today. Once of the best tv shows from my youth.

Nanoo, nanoo!

How did you find my blog?
