Bad Girl

(15)

A gang of beautiful women ride the dusty range slinging sixshooters in this rollicking western. The open frontier was the land of opportunity for many cowboys and landowners; for women, though, the West held only two choices: marriage or prostitution. But an outlaw, a widowed farmer, a loner horsewoman and a displaced Southern lady find themselves out of options when one of them faces the hangman--and they're forced to break out of tradition and carve their own justice out of manmade laws. A corrupt sheriff and a cunning thief stand between the quartet and their dreams of freedom--but they won't stand in the way for long.

Madeline Stowe, Mary Stuart Masterson, Andie MacDowell, James Russo, James LeGros, Dermot Mulroney.

What a movie. The adventure started, focusing on the main characters straight away. Madeline Stow plays a great role of an under-control Cow Girl, whilst Drew plays the best character of the fiesty young one. The story behind the movie is really good, lots of fighting, action and stealing make this one a good action film distinct to the rest.

Riding In Cars With Boys

(12)

A fresh, funny, touching and unbelievably true story of writer Beverly Donofrio (Drew Barrymore, who ages from 15 to 35 in the role) and her often irreverent, always unique personal journey.

From celebrated director Penny Marshall comes the true story of a girl who did everything wrong but got everything right. Make way for Beverly (Drew Barrymore), a smart, beautiful young woman who can't wait to grow up, much to the frustration of her police sergeant father (James Woods). Her life takes its first detour when she gets pregnant at age sixteen. The baby's father, her husband (Steve Zahn), turns out to need more mothering than her newborn son. But through all the trouble, Beverly makes a life that's more than she ever imagined and lives a story that's waiting to be told. Join the ride and watch Beverly kick life where it counts.

Adam Garcia, Brittany Murphy, James Woods, Lorraine Bracco, Rosie Perez, Peter Facinelli, Mika Boorem, Celine Marget, Maryann Urbano, Alissa Dean.

Really enjoyed this movie, some parts a really funny, a very enjoyable movie and I highly recommend it to those who are a big fan of Drew.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun

(PG)

Janey is new in town, and soon meets Lynne, who shares her passion for dancing in general, and "Dance TV" in particular. When a competition is announced to find a new Dance TV regular couple, Janey and Lynne are determined to audition. The only problem is that Janey's father doesn't approve of that kind of thing.

Lee Montgomery, Morgan Woodward, Ed Lauter, Jonathan Silverman, Holly Gagnier.

I think this movie is amazing, it is a very uplifting movie. It gets the adrenaline pumping round your body. It is filled with excitement and mild danger in terms of the star of the movie sneaking out of her bedroom window as her father will not let her enter a dance contest that she has always wanted to appear in. Helen Hunt pulls of a fantastic role and is very funny, and she befriends a goody two shoes Sarah Jessica Parker. In my opinion, this movie is one for all the family.

Never Been Kissed

(12)

Josie Geller (Drew Barrymore), at 25 the youngest Chicago Sun-Times copy editor, really is good at her job, which requires brain more than writing skills. The owner of the paper now wants her and no other to report undercover about today's high schools. Josie enrolls and quickly falls back into her own school habits: She was then known as Josie Grossie, she did not make any friends, she even was humiliated. Now, with a good job in her life and with her experiences from a life after school, she tries to fit in as well as possible. Having to seek friendship with some pretty but not very bright girls instead of with the people who really interest her gets really hard for Josie, but her job is at stake, if there is no gripping cover story soon. Falling for a teacher whom she is ordered to shred to pieces in her article, Josie is confronted with her greatest conflict - but also with the chance to undo mistakes she did in her own school days.

David Arquette, Michael Vartan, Molly Shannon, John C. Reilly, Gary Marshall, Sean Whalen, Cress Williams, Octavia Spencer, Leelee Sobieski, Jessica Alba.

A very romantic movie. I could watch it over and over again and never get bored of it. I really loved the characters and the story. I would recommend it and have done so to all my friends.

Lovewrecked

(PG)

Jenny Taylor (Amanda Bynes) has found her ideal man who she just knows would sweep her off her feet. The only problem? He's Jason Masters (Chris Carmack), the world's biggest rock star. Hoping for a chance to get close to her idol, Jenny takes a job in his favourite Caribbean resort with her best friend Ryan (Jonathan Bennett). When Jason is washed overboard in a storm, Jenny jumps in to save him and the pair find themselves stranded on a seemingly-deserted tropical island. Jenny discovers that they have landed mere miles away from the resort, but instead of telling Jason the truth she lets him believe they are stranded so she can make him fall in love with her. But as Jenny's plans fall apart, she begins to realise her personal paradise may have been closer to home all the time...

I really liked this movie, it gets you into the summer mood, and it is really funny. If like Amanda Bynes's movies, this wont disappoint. You won't get bored of the movie and its a real heart warmer. I definitely recommend it!

Sleepover

(PG)

The rules are set. The game is on.

After graduating from junior high, a group of four friends decide to have a sleepover to celebrate. Hannah (Mika Boreem), Farrah (Scout Taylor-Compton), and Yancy (Kalli Flyn Childress) gather at Julie's (Alexa Vega) parents' house, and eagerly discuss plans for their forthcoming first year at high school. Their excitement is soon brought to a halt, however, when a group of rival girls led by the popular Stacie (Sarah Paxton) challenges them to a scavenger hunt. The stakes are high. So high, in fact, that the winners of the hunt will take a much-coveted place in the dining hall for lunch, thereby securing their popularity at high school. Unfortunately, Julie's dad, Jay (Jeff Garlin), is under orders from her mum (Jane Lynch) not to let the kids leave the house, and so Julie asks her older brother Ren (Sam Huntington) to cover for her while she sneaks out...

Hijacking her dad's car, sneaking into clubs, evading Julie's mother, and even a first kiss....! Anything is possible at Julie's sleepover.

Watched this with my daughter, thought it was really good for a teenager movie, if you haven't yet seen it watch it!!!

In The Land Of Women

For as long as he could remember, Carter Webb (Adam Brody) had been falling in love with women. And for as long as he could remember, he'd been searching for the right one. He found everything he was looking for in Sophia (Elena Anaya) and for a little while he was happy. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. When Carter is dumped by Sophia in a North Hollywood coffee shop, he sees his entire life flash before his eyes.

Heartbroken and depressed, Carter escapes Los Angeles, heading across the country to suburban Michigan to care for his ailing grandmother. An eccentric and complicated personality, Grandma (JoBeth Williams) offers Carter a uniquely different perspective on life and especially death. Soon after his arrival, Carter stumbles into the lives of the family living directly across the street, Sarah Hardwicke (Meg Ryan), the mother of two daughters: Paige (Makenzie Vega), a precocious, effervescent eleven-year-old and her older sister Lucy (Kristen Stewart), an angst ridden teenager. While Sarah faces her own personal crisis, Lucy wrestles with the fears that define her. Through his relationships with these women, as well as his grandmother, Carter begins to discover that what felt like the end was really only just the beginning of his adventure.

Simply Superb! The whole movie seemed to go beyond your average "chick flick", it had Drama, Comedy and a real feel good factor, without being too slushy.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

(15)

From the producers of The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up comes a comic look at one guy's arduous quest to grow up and get over the heartbreak of being dumped - if he can only make himself start Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) has spent six years idolizing his girlfriend, television star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). He's the guy left holding her purse in paparazzi photos and accidentally omitted from acceptance award speeches. But his world is rocked when she dumps him and Peter finds himself alone. After an unsuccessful bout of womanizing and an on-the-job nervous breakdown, he sees that not having Sarah may just ruin his life.

To clear his head, Peter takes an impulsive trip to Hawaii, where he is confronted by his worst nightmare: his ex and her tragically hip new British-rocker boyfriend, Aldous (Russell Brand), are sharing his hotel. But as he torments himself with the reality of Sarah's new life, he finds relief in a flirtation with Rachel (Mila Kunis), a beautiful resort employee whose laid-back approach tempts him to rejoin the world. He also finds relief in several hundred embarrassing, fruity cocktails.

This is a good fun movie in the sun with a great cameo from Russell Brand. The humour is quite subtle in parts and straightforward in others but ultimately this is feelgood stuff. I loved it.

First Daughter

(PG)

The girl who always stood out is finally getting the chance to fit in.

Samantha Mackenzie (Katie Holmes) has fame and glamour, but she just wants what every college freshman wants: the opportunity to experience the world away from home and, most importantly, away from her parents. She just wants to be treated like anyone else. To be... normal.

But it's not going to be easy, because Sam's home address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and her dad is John Mackenzie (Michael Keaton), the President of the United States.

Now living thousands of miles away from the White House, Sam hopes that being out on her own means she'll be free of the constraints of being the First Daughter. But everywhere she turns there's a Secret Service agent at the ready, and her fellow freshmen won't let her stop being the most famous student in the country.

I sore this movie one day on tv, thought is was really good! Its a typical romance, somethings you can see coming but it is still well worth the buy!!!!

Bring It On

(12)

The Toro cheerleader squad from Rancho Carne High School in San Diego has got spirit, spunk, sass and a killer routine that's sure to land them the national championship trophy for the sixth year in a row. But for newly-elected team captain Torrance, the Toros' road to total cheer glory takes a shady turn when she discovers that their perfectly choreographed routines were in fact stolen from the Clovers, a hip-hop squad from East Compton, by the Toros' former captain.

While the Toros scramble to come up with a new routine, the Clovers, led by squad captain Isis (Gabrielle Union) have their own problems coming up with enough money to cover their travel expenses to the championships. With time running out and the pressure mounting, both captains drive their squads to the point of exhaustion: Torrance, hell bent on saving the Toros' reputation, and Isis more determined than ever to see that the Clovers finally get the recognition they deserve. But only one team can bring home the title, so may the best moves win... (Hayden Panettiere) (Solange Knowles)

The dance moves in this movie are amazing! I haven't seen better choreography any where, the story is great and the music is extremely catchy!

In a whirlwind of comic events, Lizzie is mistaken for Italy's biggest pop diva, Isabella (Hilary Duff), and falls for Paolo, Isabella's handsome singing partner. Transformed from awkward teen to international pop star, Lizzie now has the choice of a lifetime. Will becoming Italy's next singing sensation also mean leaving her family and close friends behind?

I think this movie is a real girlie movie, I loved it. I really enjoyed the movie, the ending is an amazing finale and finishes off the movie very well i recommend it to anyone a very very enjoyable movie.

It's A Boy/Girl Thing

(12)

They've turned into the things they hated most... each other.

It's A Boy Girl Thing is a brilliantly funny romantic comedy about next-door neighbours who live worlds apart. Woody Deane (Zegers) and Nell Bedworth (Armstrong) are life long sworn enemies who wake up one day to find themselves in a very strange place: each others bodies. In their switched identities, each sets out to destroy the other's high school reputation. When they start to succeed they get more that they bargained for. Sometimes falling in love can be an out of body experience.

This movie really surprised me, I was expecting a rubbish teen movie specially coz I hadn't heard any reviews but it was actually very funny. Slightly predictable and it lost it a bit in the middle but definitely above average, lots of laughs and the actors are great. well worth a watch.

Picture This!

(12)

A nobody is about to become a somebody... and impress everybody.

Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody) is picture-perfect and downright delightful in this hilarious comedy that gives "cell phone" a whole new meaning.

Mandy has just been invited to the biggest party of the year by the most popular boy in school, but there's one problem - she's grounded! When her father agrees to let her go study with friends, he insists on checking in every half hour via video cell phone. Trapped by technology, Mandy and her "cell" mates need a little ingenuity - and a lot of imagination - to make it to the party with exposing the plan to Dad's prying eyes!

This is about a girl called Mandy who isn't the most popular girl in school and she is crushing on Drew, the hottest guy in school. She tries to follow her dream, a few problems stand in her way but she gets past those and get her all time time dream. Worth watching. Recommend for teenagers.

Aquamarine

(PG)

A fish out of water comedy!

It's the end of summer and Claire (Roberts) and Hailey (JoJo) have a major problem. In just five days, Hailey's (Sara Paxton) family is moving halfway around the world! These girls need a major miracle, and they get one in the form of Aquamarine, a beautiful mermaid who washes ashore in a late summer storm. Sweet but clueless to the ways of romance, she offers to grant the girls one wish if they help her find the boy of her dreams. But when they attempt to reel in the cute local lifeguard, the result is something none of them expect and they discover that sometimes what you wish for isn't what you really want after all!

Really good funny/family movie/chick flick. Ive watched it a few times so far its just nice to set off the end of a nice day.

The Perfect Man

(PG)

Is it all too good to be true?

Teenager Holly Hamilton (Hilary Duff), is fed up of moving every time her single-parent mother, Jean (Heather Locklear), breaks-up with another dead-beat boyfriend. To distract her mother from her latest bad choice, Holly conceives the perfect plan for the perfect man - an imaginary secret admirer who will romance Jean and boost her self-esteem. When the virtual relationship takes off, Holly finds herself having to produce a suitor from somewhere; borrowing her friend's charming and handsome uncle, Ben (Chris Noth), as the face behind the emails, notes and gifts!

Holly must resort to increasingly desperate measures to keep the ruse alive and protect her Mother's newfound happiness... Almost missing the real perfect man when he does come along.

This is a really great movie about a girl, Holly, who's Mum is searching for a lovely husband, and in a desperate attempt to make her happy Holly makes up the perfect man. It makes you see life from the point of view of the parents and teenage, and is a great girly movie to make you laugh, cry, but feel happy at the end. A must-have for every girl and family.

Material Girls

(PG)

It's A Short Trip From The Penthouse To The Poorhouse.

Life's not so hard when you're a wealthy heiress. In fact, for Ava (Haylie Duff) and Tanzie Marchetta (Hilary Duff), it's downright easy. These girls go to the biggest parties, wear the most expensive clothes, and would attend the opening of a gilded envelope. Their late father's cosmetics company, Marchetta Cosmetics, keeps them on easy street, and the two heiresses never lift a finger, leaving the pesky day-to-day chore of actually running the business to their father's best friend Tommy (Brent Spinner).

When scandal erupts over one of Marchetta's products, the fickle social scene turns its back on the sisters and life suddenly turns tough. The sisters are thrown head-over-Manolo Blahnik's into the uncompromising real world, and it's not long before they realise it's time to set down the lipstick, put the parties on hold and save the company. In the process, the clueless socialites must overcome hurdles such as media invasion, angry protests, and even riding the bus!

This movie is okay if you want to relax and watch something easy to follow.
But don't expect any great surprises, good jokes, or a particularly interesting storyline.

Ice Princess

(U)

From Walt Disney, Ice Princess is an hilarious heart warming coming of age comedy everyone will love! Though she longs to become a graceful champion figure skater, gawky Casey Carlyle (Michelle Trachtenberg) is only a brainy misfit with a strong willed mother pushing her towards a top university. But when Casey uses her head and follows her heart, she'll find herself transformed beyond her wildest dreams. (Joan Cusack)

Ice Princess is an uplifting and laugh packed story your family will pirouette for!

"Ice princess" is one of those blockbuster movies you cannot help but love. It certainly doesn't give you lots of food for thought, but it is entertaining, has good music, and at the end makes you feel happy you watched it. This movie will appeal mainly to young girls, but also to those adults that have nothing against Disney movies if they are well done.

The Princess Diaries 1 & 2

(U)

Princess Diaries
Academy Award® Winner Julie Andrews, enchanting newcomer Anne Hathaway and Hector Elizondo (Pretty Woman) lead a charmed cast in Disney's The Princess Diaries, a hilarious, hip and heartwarming modern day Cinderella story. Mia Thermopolis (Hathaway) is a bright but terribly shy and gawky teenager whose goal in life is to survive each school day with a minimum of attention and embarrassment.

Unfortunately her wish to be invisible is thwarted when her estranged grandmother arrives and delivers the shocking news that she's a real-life princess - heir to the throne of Genovia! Furious and incredulous, the reluctant royal agrees to take "princess lessons" and make the biggest decision of her life - in three weeks. And so begins a comical transformation towards poise and princess-ness when she finds herself in the middle of a media storm, jealous schoolmates and a plot to take over her country. Funny, uplifting and affirming - your entire family will thoroughly enjoy this crown jewel.

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement
As a teenager, ugly duckling Mia (Anne Hathaway) learned that she was actually a princess. Now that the Princess has completed college in America, she is returning to her country, Genovia. Since Mia is turning 21, Queen Clarisse (Julie Andrews) plans to step down and give her granddaughter the throne. But evil Viscount Mabrey (Jonathan Rhys-Davies) believes his nephew is the rightful heir, and Parliament decides that Mia will have to abide by an age-old Genovian law: no Queen shall rule without a husband. Mia has just thirty days to marry if she is to retain the throne that her family has held for over 500 years. The kindhearted but clumsy princess also has to win over the Genovian people and survive the constant paparazzi. Although a charming Englishman (Callum Blue) seems to fit the arranged marriage bill, Mia also finds herself drawn to the very man that is vying for the throne, the dashing Nicholas (Chris Pine). But can she trust her foe's intentions? Will Mia follow her heart, or sacrifice love for her country?

This box set is great fun movies & I would highly recommend buying. Anne Hathaway is a hoot & Julie Andrews is, as usual, as brilliant as always & is perfect for her role as Queen. I thoroughly enjoyed these movies despite my usual taste of movies being horror or sci-fi.

Ella Enchanted

(PG)

Get enchanted.

Ella (Anne Hathaway of 'The Princess Diaries') lives in a fanciful and magical world where all children are given a 'gift' from a fairy Godmother at the moment of their birth. Little Ella's birthright is the gift - and curse - of obedience. As a result of this unfortunate circumstance, Ella cannot refuse any command, and is often left at the mercy of unscrupulous personalities. In a bid to regain control of her life, Ella goes on a quest to free herself from this mysterious curse. Ella must outwit a kingdom filled with ogres, giants, wicked step sisters, talking books and evil plots. And, is she's lucky, she may find love along the way.

This movie like any other Cinderella story told is of romance and the down trodden young girl who finds her true prince. This version of it is funny! The song at the end is hilarious a good watch and worth buying!
