Rango

(PG)

From the director of The Pirates of the Caribbean comes this summer's hottest movie Rango (Johnny Depp), featuring Johnny Depp in an original animated comedy-adventure that takes moviegoers for a hilarious and heartfelt walk in the Wild West. The story follows the comical, transformative journey of Rango (Depp), a sheltered chameleon living as an ordinary family pet, while facing a major identity crisis. After all, how high can you aim when your whole purpose in life is to blend in?

When Rango accidentally winds up in the gritty, gun-slinging town of Dirt-a lawless outpost populated by the desert's most wily and whimsical creatures-the less-than-courageous lizard suddenly finds he stands out. Welcomed as the last hope the town has been waiting for, new Sheriff Rango is forced to play his new role to the hilt...until, in a blaze of action-packed situations and encounters with outrageous characters, Rango starts to become the hero he once only pretended to be.

With a cast that includes Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, Bill Nighy, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone and Timothy Olyphant as the Spirit of the West, Rango is an exciting new twist on the classic Western legend of the outsider who saves a town-and himself in the process.

Brilliant movie. If you love westerns you will love this. Very funny and quite scary in places, more an animated movies for adults than children. But really a good watch!

Gnomeo & Juliet

(U)

Set in the gardens of fair Verona Drive, we witness the blossoming romance of two young gnomes, Gnomeo (James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt), amidst a turf war between the reds and the blues. Between the high-speed lawnmower chases and stealth missions, hearts (and hats) are broken, loyalties are tested and garden boundaries drawn, but can true gnomance conquer all? When your best friends are an over-excitable frog, a lovelorn flamingo, a loyal mushroom, a team of Bond-esque bunnies and a dopey fawn, there's a shedload of fun and adventure around every plant pot!

The miniature monuments are voiced by massive household names including James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Matt Lucas, Maggie Smith, Michael Caine, Stephen Merchant, Ashley Jensen, Jason Statham and Ozzy Osbourne to gnome a few! Featuring classic and original songs by Elton John and directed by Kelly Asbury (Shrek 2) Gnomeo And Juliet is a great love story......with a very small difference.

Thought this was a great children's movie, children of all ages will enjoy it, even big kids. Full of humour, heartbreak, love and sadness, but it all ends up happy in the end and all the gnomes are reunited and living in a happy community.

Paul

(15)

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town-a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes...

This is one of the best comedy I've seen in a long time, it is so hilarious, Good fun as you'd expect, but was better than i thought it would be!

The Rebound

(15)

Sandy (Catherin Zeta-Jones) upon discovering her husband's infidelity leaves the suburbs and moves to the city. She gets an apartment that's below a coffee house. She befriends one of the workers, Aram (Justin Bartha), a guy whose wife only married him so that she could get a green card. Aram's family thinks he's wasting his life and education by just working in a coffee house. Later Sandy hires Aram to be her babysitter when she starts a new job. It isn't long when they start dating. But the question: is this real or just the rebound relationship?

Saadet Aksoy, Steve Antonucci, Marc Alan Austen, Paul Basile, Robert Bizik, Andrew Stephen Bradley, Daniel Burress, Megan Byrne, Alana Cadiz.

I absolutely loved this movie. Any romantic comedy fan should love this one. I am fan of Catherine Zeta-Jones, and love all here movies.

It's Complicated

(15)

Jane (Meryl Streep) is the mother of three grown kids, owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery/restaurant and has-after a decade of divorce-an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake (Alec Baldwin). But when Jane and Jake find themselves out of town for their son's college graduation, things start to get complicated. An innocent meal together turns into the unimaginable-an affair. With Jake remarried to the much younger Agness (Lake Bell), Jane is now, of all things, the other woman.

Caught in the middle of their renewed romance is Adam (Steve Martin), an architect hired to remodel Jane's kitchen. Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam starts to fall for Jane, but soon realizes he's become part of a love triangle.

Should Jane and Jake move on with their lives, or is love truly lovelier the second time around? It's... complicated.

John Krasinski
, Mary Kay Place, Rita Wilson, Alexandra Wentworth, Hunter Parrish.

This movie was so hilarious, Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin were fabulous and i would highly recommend this movie to anyone who is wanting to see a well made romantic comedy!!

The Hangover

(15)

"What happened in Vegas?" That's the question three friends must ask when they awake in their hotel room after a stag party to discover the groom is gone in this instant comedy classic from 'Starsky & Hutch' director Todd Phillips, incorporating everything from pet tigers to naked Chinese gangsters!

From "Old School" director Todd Phillips comes a comedy about a bachelor party gone very, very wrong. Two days before his wedding, Doug (Justin Bartha) drives to Las Vegas with his best buddies Phil and Stu (Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms) and his future brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis), for a blow-out bachelor party they vow they'll never forget. But when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning with pounding headaches, they can't remember a thing. Their luxury hotel suite is beyond trashed and the groom is nowhere to be found. With no clue about what happened and little time to spare, the trio must attempt to retrace their bad decisions from the night before in order to figure out where things went wrong, in the hope of finding Doug and getting him back to L.A. in time for his wedding. But the more they begin to uncover, the more they realize just how much trouble they're really in.

This movie was really great and so hilarious. The characters are likeable and have phenomenal chemistry, the dialogue is witty and the performances are insane. If you love a great comendy then you'll love this, one comendy you shouldn't miss.

(500) Days of Summer

(12)

Off-beat romantic comedy starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Brick, Mysterious Skin) and Zooey Deschanel (Failure to Launch).

"This is a story of boy meets girl", begins the wry, probing narrator of 500 Days Of Summer, and with that the film takes off at breakneck speed into a funny, true-to-life and unique dissection of the unruly and unpredictable year-and-a-half of one young man's no-holds-barred love affair.

Tom, the boy, still believes, even in this cynical modern world, in the notion of a transforming, cosmically destined, lightning-strikes-once kind of love. Summer, the girl, doesn't. Not at all. But that doesn't stop Tom from going after her, again and again, like a modern Don Quixote, with all his might and courage. Suddenly, Tom is in love not just with a lovely, witty, intelligent woman -- not that he minds any of that -- but with the very idea of Summer, the very idea of a love that still has the power to shock the heart and stop the world.

Geoffrey Arend, Chloe Moretz, Matthew Gray Gubler, Clark Gregg, Patricia Belcher, Rachel Boston, Minka Kelly, Ian Reed Kesler, Darryl Alan Reed, Valente Rodriguez, Nicole Vicius, Natalie Boren.

This movie is really great & funny, its very original, funny and moving. Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon Levitt play there characters perfectly. One for those who love the romantic comedy's.

The battle of the sexes heats up in Columbia Pictures' comedy The Ugly Truth. Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. Bree Turner, Eric Winters, Nick Searcy, Jesse D. Goins, Cheryl Hines, John Michael Higgins, Noah Matthews, Bonnie Somerville, John Sloman, Yvette Nicole Brown.

If you liked the break-up or knocked up then your going to love this movie, it has some really funny moments in it, it had us in stitches. If you are looking for a great Friday night movie this is for you, watch this with your boyfriend/husband, theirs plenty for him to get engrossed in too!

Addams Family Reunion

(PG)

Gomez (Tim Curry) and Morticia (Daryl Hannah) are horrified to discover that Grandpa (Kevin McCarthy) and Grandma (Estelle Harris) Addams have a rare disease that is slowly turning them "normal". The only chance they have of curing them is to organise a family reunion, hoping that someone knows a home remedy. Unfortunately, due to a printing error, the family arrives at the reunion of an ordinary family named Adams (with one D). While Gomez and Morticia, oblivious to the mistake, search for a cure amongst a family divided by the wish to inherit; Pugsley (Jerry Messing) and Wednesday (Nicole Fugere) are busy making new friends...explode; Uncle Fester (Patrick Thomas) and Thing search for a vicious Chihuahua that lives on human hair; and Lurch (Carel Struycken) falls in love. Meanwhile, a couple going to the reunion are given the wrong address and end up at the Addams mansion where Granny (Alice Ghostly) and Cousin Itt (Phil Fondacaro) are staying. No-one's life will ever be the same...

Heidi Lenhart, Diana Delano, Logan Robbins, Lindsay Haun, Rodger Halston, Hilary Shepard.

They were not as good as the original cast of the Addams Family. The movie is ok but wouldn't go over board about it. It wasn't as good as the original movies, why did they have to change the cast!!!

Addams Family Values

(PG)

Pugsley (Jimmy Workmen) and Wednesday (Christina Ricci) Addams aren't very happy with the new addition to the family: their new baby brother, Pubert (Kaitlyn & Kristen Hooper). Morticia (Anjelica Huston) is restless, and Gomez (Raul Julia) only wants her to be happy, so he tries to fix everyone's problems by hiring a nanny. The Addams' finally find the perfect nanny in Debbie (Joan Cusack): a seemingly innocent woman with an impeccable wardrobe and a way with her hands. She charms the family, especially Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd), who is head-over-heels for her. However, Wednesday and Pugsley see through her sensual facade: Debbie is only after Fester for his money. Before they can rat on her, she has the kids sent off to summer camp, as she and Fester get married. While she tries (several times) to kill Fester and make it look like an accident, Pugsley and Wednesday must battle ever-cheery camp directors and spoiled rich kids to get back to their family and warn them of Debbie's plans.

Carol Kane, David Krumholtz, Peter MacNicol, Christine Baranski.

The Addams Family are back with the same old good comedy. Brace yourself for a sadistic Wednesday with her one-linerss. Watch out for the happy-clappy camp advisers and share in Pugsley and Wednesday's torture! A fantastically movie!

The Addams Family

(PG)

The Addams step out of Charles Addams' cartoons. (Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christina Ricci, Judith Malina, Dana Ivey, Jimmy Workman, Tony Azito, Douglas Brian Martin, John Franklin) They live with all of the trappings of the macabre (including a detached hand for a servant) and are quite wealthy. Added to this mix is a crooked accountant and his loan shark and a plot to slip in the shark's son into the family as their long lost Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd). Can the false Fester find his way into the vault before he is discovered?

Elizabeth Wilson, Dan Hedaya, Carel Struycken, Paul Benedict, Christopher Hart.

This is a really good movie. It's a timeless classic, with great funny moments, great acting and a culture of its own. All in all a really great movie!!!

Morons from Outer Space

(PG)

A space ship stops at an intergalactic fuel station. While the captain's refueling, one of his idiotic companions plays with the controls and accidently starts the ship and crashes into the earth. This causes a sensation: the media celebrates the extraterrestrials, the military interrogates them for eternal wisdom. However soon they recognize that the fellows are dumb as bricks - although some generals believe it's just a mask.

Joanne Pearce, Jimmy Nail, Paul Bown, James Sikking, Dinsdale Landen, Tristram Jellinek, George Innes.

This is really a stupid movie. But it makes me laugh. This movie is very silly, juvenile and actually quite bad, but still quite fun to watch, would watch it again though once was enough.

Connor's brother Paul is more the romantic type. In fact, he's about to be married. Unfortunately, on the eve of the big event, Connor's mockery of romance proves a real buzz-kill for Paul, the wedding party and a houseful of well-wishers including Connor's childhood friend Jenny (Jennifer Garner), the one woman in his life who has always seemed immune to his considerable charm.

Just when it looks like Connor may single-handedly ruin the wedding, he gets a wake-up call from the ghost of his late Uncle Wayne (Michael Douglas), the hard-partying, legendary ladies man upon whose exploits Connor has modeled his lifestyle. For four years, the courageous crew of the NSEA Protector - "Commander Peter Quincy Taggart" (Tim Allen), "Lt. Tawny Madison" (Sigourney Weaver) and "Dr. Lazarus" (Alan Rickman) - set off on thrilling and often dangerous missions in space... and then their series was cancelled!

Now, twenty years later, aliens under attack have mistaken the Galaxy Quest television transmissions for "historical documents" and beamed up the crew of has-been actors to save the universe. With no script, no director and no clue, the actors must turn in the performance of their lives in this hilarious adventure.
